Parish events

Peggy Ronayne R.I.P.

We were all very saddened to hear on Wednesday of the death of Peggy, found by her daughter sitting in her chair exactly as if she were asleep. A very beautiful passing from this life to the Life Eternal. Aged 85, Peggy had so many health worries, and yet soldiered on magnificently, here at 10.45 Mass, as ever, last Sunday. A beautiful lady, whose faith and family were inextricably important to her. We will all celebrate her life and faith in a Requiem Mass on Wednesday 27th Feb at 12.00 noon, followed by burial with her beloved Eddie in Blacon. May she rest in peace.

Building Work Next Door and Passageway

Ian, the very efficient and courteous Site Manager next door, has been to see us to say they’re ready to take down the scaffolding and start digging out the foundations for the boundary wall between us. This is essential work, of course, and it will mean the passageway being closed Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 4.00 pm for the next fortnight. Thanks, everyone, for your co-operation!

A lovely reminder of our Christmas get-together at Carluccio’s – thanks to James the Manager for looking after us so well! The couple nearest the camera are Sarah and Patrick, who’ve joined us from Liverpool Uni. I told you we weren’t proud, and that we take anyone… Tonight, Ghost Walk followed by Psalm Singing. If you’ve ever screamed your head off, kids…
