Running for Claire House last Sunday
The Werbie Wanderers, a.k.a. Lucy and Paul Broughton and Steve Graham ran the Chester 1/2 Marathon last Sunday for the Claire House children's hospice. Your support is welcomed and donations to this great charity can be made via http://www.justgiving.com/Steve-Graham4. If you'd like to ease their blisters, sponsor forms at the back of church or with Lucy, Paul and Steve.
Requesting Masses
If you'd like a Mass on a particular date, could you please write the details down for me, and say what you would like to happen if that date is already booked: either "or as soon as possible thereafter" or (for example) "the next available Sunday 9.00 am"? That will help me to help you!

Bishop Mark writes...
Our Holy Father, Pope Francis, invites us to join him in an hour of prayer and adoration on Sunday 2nd June, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. At 5.00 pm (Rome time) Pope Francis will lead an hour of Eucharistic Adoration in St Peter's Basilica and asks the bishops and faithful of the world to share in this prayer of adoration. It will be a moment of profound communion in prayer with our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, the One who "leads us in our faith and brings it to perfection" (Heb. 12:2).
So, let's join Pope Francis and Bishop Mark; here at St Werburgh's, June 2nd, we'll have Eucharistic Adoration, 4.00-5.00 pm that Sunday.
