St Werburgh's and St Columba's Primary School
Thank you all who supported our Summer Fair last Saturday - we raised over £2,000 towards providing an outdoor classroom in the School grounds. Whether you bought raffle tickets, baked cakes, grew plants, gave donations or just came to enjoy the sunshine on the day: THANK YOU!!
Prayers for our diocese
Week 4 today, and we move on to St Gabriel's Alsager, a very pretty little town right down on the Cheshire/Staffordshire border, the only Parish in the Diocese to boast a ST (Stoke-on-Trent) Post Code!

The lunchtime organ recital this Tuesday, 1st June, will be given by JOHN EVANS, organist at Hamilton St Methodist Church, Hoole. Retiring Collection. Please advertise as widely as possible. Leaflets are available but word of mouth is the best publicity.

City Centre Churches Together
On Wednesday lunchtime, all the Ministers of the various City Centre Churches here in Chester gather in St Werburgh's for a Farewell Lunch for Canon Trevor Dennis, retiring after many years distinguished service as Vice-Dean of the Cathedral. We all wish him and Mrs Dennis a long and happy retirement.

Farewell to all our Students going down this week. We hope they have a great long Vacation, and look forward to seeing them all again in September.

Corpus Christi celebrations - St Francis
St Francis Church is celebrating a 40 hour adoration of the Blessed Sacrament leading to the solemnity of Corpus Christi. The celebration begins with Mass on 2nd June at noon and ends on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi on Sunday 6th June at 4.00 pm, after the procession of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction. St Francis is inviting parishioners to attend any part of the celebration - full details at the back of Church

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Diocesan Curial Offices in Birkenhead. The positions available are part-time. Next choir practice
Monday June 7th at 7.00 pm. Last time, we revised all our Alleluias and Gospel Acclamations. On Monday week, we're looking at our Holy, Holy, Holy (Sanctus) Mass Part - revising our existing ones and learning a few new ones. Everyone warmly invited who just likes to have a good sing in church
