Choir summer meal - Monday 11th July

Confirmation: autumn 2011 - 30 so far!
It's the turn of St Werburgh's, St Clare's and St Francis to host Confirmation this autumn, Thursday November 24th. Anyone now in High School (or older) is eligible to join. Launch Meeting on Thursday 14th July. 26 names in so far! Please take a yellow flyer and application form if you'd like to join us.
If you'd like to help with the Confirmation Programme this autumn, please come along to a meeting on Thursday 21st July, 7.00 pm in the House... All welcome - as long as you like teenagers!

We're pleased to say the disabled toilet work is now completely finished. As ever can we all please make an effort to leave it in the condition we'd like to find it? Other building work this week - cleaning of all gutters and spot repairs to roof. Your Parish Priest was a total kid and insisted on going up in the cherry picker but the photos were worth it! See notice board at back of church for the view from the top!
Chester heritage weekend
Volunteer stewards needed. St Werburgh's will again be participating in the very popular Heritage Weekend this autumn from 8th - 11th September when many buildings are open for visitors to see some of Chester's best architecture. King's School sixth former
Can anyone offer board and lodging for the next academic year for a very pleasant 17 year old young man who is a pupil at Kings School here in Chester? He would like a room, breakfast and evening meal, on a proper paid basis for his final year at school. If anyone can help out please see Father Paul.
World youth day in Madrid
Priya (Mary), Treasure and Hazel are walking 12 miles from Shotton to Pantasaf on 16th July to raise funds for themselves, and other deserving youth registered with charity `Jesus Youth' to go for the World Youth Days in August in Madrid, where Pope Benedict and 2 million youth will gather to be strengthened in their faith.
