Parish Finances

Parish Finances are looked after by the Finance Committee, which monitors all income and expenditure and draws up our Annual Financial Report to the Diocese and to the Parish. We aim for full transparency always: all figures are published and all questions are answered as fully as we can.

For the last Financial Year (2012-2013) the Headline Figures were as follows:

  • Total Income: £109,712
  • Total Expenditure: £94,573
  • Operating Surplus for the Year: £15,139

Our Total Funds have recently swung from debt to credit, thanks to some
extremely generous Legacies, for which we are extremely grateful:

  • April 2006: -£157,174 (Debt)
  • April 2007: -£155,717 (Debt)
  • April 2008: -£108,190 (Debt)
  • April 2009: +£91,810 (Credit)
  • April 2010: +£128,194 (Credit)
  • April 2011: +£148,214 (Credit)

Our major financial responsibility is the maintenance and upkeep of our beautiful Grade II Listed Church, and we are determined to keep healthy surpluses for this vital purpose, so that we can hand it on in fine condition to the generations to come.
