St Werburgh's acts as the
Parish for the Dale Army Camp in Chester, the current home of the
1st Battalion The Royal Welsh.
During the Battalion's Afghan tour of duty in 2012, St Werburgh's has been asked to support the soldiers and their families through prayer and pastoral provision at home.

Mass in the Syro-Malabar Rite
The Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in India is an Apostolic Church in full communion with the Catholic Church. It was founded by St Thomas the Apostle, who came to India in 52 AD. He died as a Martyr in Mylapore near the present town of Chennai (Madras), where his tomb is still venerated. It is the largest of the Saint Thomas Christian denominations with more than 3.6 million believers, and the second largest Eastern Catholic Church in full communion with Rome. It has two main centres, one in the area of northern India where it was founded, the other in the southern Indian region of Kerala. Our friends from this Church come to St Werburgh's for their own Mass on the Fourth Sunday of each month at 7.00 pm.
