Sixth Formers from the Chester Catholic High School took time out of their busy Spring revision and study schedules to support St Werburgh’s SVP with a most successful ‘Afternoon Tea’ event at the school.
Led by CHS Lay Chaplain Anna Gasparini, the young people prepared and served a lovely selection of refreshments to a large number of clearly delighted SVP beneficiaries and friends, whilst afterwards talking with their Guests and playing Bingo with those who wanted to.
“The CHS Afternoon Tea was yet another example of the super-close links between the High School, St Werburgh’s Church and its many and diverse communities.” said SVP Conference President Marco Abbiati. “It is a pleasure to see the love and respect our young people have for our older and more vulnerable parishioners – and the sincere gratitude and admiration they receive in return.”
