‘Catholic High School Tea’ triumph!

Under the kind auspices of Lay Chaplain Ana Gasparini, the 6th Formers of Chester’s Catholic High School organised and arranged a superlative ‘Tea’ for SVP beneficiaries this month.

Comprising tea, other refreshments and some much-appreciated ‘bingo’ for those who wanted to take part, the event was the latest in a number of successful collaborative initiatives between the ‘School and St Werburgh’s SVP – underlining the extremely close bonds between the two.  The SVP Conference agreed the date and transported people to the event but the provision of the Tea’ was entirely the work of the young people and was carried-out to perfection.

“A lot of our beneficiaries expressed their joy for a lovely afternoon together.” said Conference President Marco Abbiati, who has special responsibility for contacts with both the Catholic High School and also the St Werburgh’s & St Columba’s Primary School on Lightfoot Street in Chester.

Marco went on to Thank the CHS 6th Formers, Lay Chaplain Ana and also Head Teacher Mrs McKeagney, for her school’s ongoing dedication and commitment.

“It is truly a blessing to be able to offer the afternoon tea and bingo to the SVP beneficiaries.” said Ana.  “Our students absolutely loved it and when everybody left they asked how they could be involved in more of these activities.”
