Joining our First Holy Communion Programme
Children need to be in Year Three of the Primary school in order to make their First Forgiveness and First Holy Communion, but we do accept older children.
The children attending our Parish School, St Werburgh’s and St Columba’s, in Lightfoot St Chester, apply to make the sacraments through the school and receive most of their instruction there.
Children who are members of the parish but not attending Catholic schools are invited to join our classes which take place once a month usually beginning in October.
A number of additional parents’ meetings and children’s services take place either at the Parish School or in St Werburgh’s Church during the year.
Applications are open for First Forgiveness and First Holy Communion between 1st June to 1st September each year.
